This is one of the biggest jobs we've taken on. A full commercial roof installation on the Price Chopper at Roxana Square on 119th St - a massive flat roof covering the entire footprint of a large retail grocery store. Jobs like this don't come around every day, and we put our best crew on it.

Here's what we were working with - a large-scale flat roof requiring complete system installation across the entire building. You can see the yellow insulation boards being laid across one section while the white TPO membrane is already fully installed and locked down on the other half. That's two major phases of the job happening simultaneously, which takes coordination and a seasoned crew to pull off correctly.

The yellow polyiso insulation boards are a critical part of the system. They create a thermal barrier that significantly reduces heating and cooling loads inside the building - a big deal for a grocery store that runs refrigeration around the clock. Getting that layer right before the membrane goes down is what separates a roof that lasts from one that doesn't.

The white TPO membrane is fully adhered and mechanically fastened across the completed section. On a roof this size, seam integrity and proper fastener spacing are everything. Done right, a system like this holds up against Kansas City's weather cycles for decades. We take that seriously on every section, not just the parts that are easy to reach.

Commercial roofing at this scale requires more than just manpower. It requires planning, sequencing, and the right materials installed in the right order. We're proud to be trusted with a high-traffic anchor tenant like this, and we're not done yet.
